Okay, so for a non-technical post. I think sometimes the worst thing you can do to a person is to dangle temptation in front of them and then snatch it away…and my worst temptation is being off from work for a night. I know, I know, you would think that someone who is looking for another job would want to work as much as possible to build up enough money to ensure that the gap between pay cycles was covered…but no, not me. I love my nights of work off…and one was dangled before me tonight. Supposed to be slow the day after labour day.
Obviously it was not.
Ended up getting home just before 1am.
Crap.
So that was my day.

So now I have this niftylittle blogging tool right on my desktop – it’s really simple and straightforward – called Kblogger. It’s a kicker applet (part of KDE) and it lets me just click, write, and submit. I’ve been looking for something like this, and while there are more complex apps out there that let you apply templates and such, i don’t think I really need all of that right now. Maybe one day in the future.
Anyways, I know that everyone gets tired of hearing me ‘talk tech’ all the time, so I’ll try to tone it down in the future, but hey, that’s what I love, part of my life, and it’s something that I dearly love to think about, discuss, and play around with.
As for what’s going on in my life right now, the answer is ‘not much’. Everyone that I talk to never believes me when I say that, but it’s true. Right now I’m in a cycle of ‘get up, take care of the kid until time to go to work, go to work, come home, sleep, wake up and do it all again’ It’s tedious and I’m ready to mix things up a litle bit…I’ve been trying to find a job that suites me and my field of study/interests.
On that note, if any of you know someone that can use a linux sysadmin fresh out of school and ready to make his mark on the world, just let them know that I’m on the market and I need a job! MUAHAHAHA
Hey, what can it hurt? Maybe I can get the whole internet to help me out on this one.
Riiiiight
Anyways, that’s it for now. Be good to one another, keep each other safe, hug the people that you love and remind them that you love them and that you’re there for them. It’s been too long since you’ve hugged someone just for the hell of it.

This ends up being the point where I do most of my rambling. Sometimes it's good, most times it's not. As far as I go, I'm a 30-something husband, father, friend, geek...everything else you want to know about me and everything else you don't is contained right here in these pages.
